Your vendor fee is $25.00 per table space assigned, and it is non-refundable.
A table space is defined as approximately the length of a 10' long table. Please note that your $25 vendor fee is non-refundable, as the proceeds go primarily to support The Penns Valley HOPE Fund for families and individuals in crisis. A small portion helps to cover The Old Gregg School Community & Recreation Center's "Grapevine Newsletter" advertising costs for this event and a nominal venue fee toward OGS operating costs.
PLEASE NOTE: Applications are accepted on a first received/first paid basis.
If for some reason we cannot accept your application or include you as a vendor in our craft fair (if two vendors representing the same home business both apply, for example) then we will contact you, and your check will be returned to you. We DO allow home business vendors (and other vendors) to share tables, if they choose to do so. You must arrange this with one another in advance, and then let us know of your plans on your application.
We currently have several local Tastefully Simple, Pampered Chef, and Tupperware vendors all interested in participating in our events ... although we permitted a vendor who wished to do so to pay a non-refundable table fee in advance (back in October) to be sure to secure a spot for our 2/13/10 event, please note that we will not be able to honor this practice in the future, as per our revised fairness policy.
We still currently accept "alternate" home business vendor applications, in the order in which we receive them, in the event the first received/first paid home business vendor cannot attend at the last minute on 2/13/10.
If the first received/first paid vendor does attend, then the alternate vendor(s) fee(s) will be returned to them. All first received/first paid vendors who sign a contract and commit, know that their vendor fees are non-refundable, regardless of last minute cancellations, due to unforeseen circumstances, on their part.
Please note that simply emailing us with your intention of participating cannot guarantee you a table space. Out of fairness to the MANY vendors who have expressed interest in attending this benefit craft show for The HOPE Fund, we can only confirm those vendors who have completed the top portion of this contract, signed it, and have mailed it to Cathy Walton at "Nittany Shop With Heart" - along with the required table fee(s) - in time.
In accordance with PASA regulations for PA Farmers Markets, only the OGS Winter Farmers Market Sellers and Handmade Crafters/Artisans will be assigned table spaces inside the main gym, as space allows. Non-profit awareness groups, home business vendors and additional crafter/artisans who do not return their table fees first (or those who may need more table space(s) than the main gym floor can provide) will all receive good shopper placements on the first floor of the OGS Building, including the lobby, in various downstairs classrooms, in the downstairs library, or along the downstairs hallway.
OGS and Nittany Shop With Heart will be assigning the available table spaces in advance. Contact us if you have special needs such as proximity to an electrical outlet or other special concerns. We will accommodate individual vendor concerns to the best of our ability and as space limitations and building safety codes allow.
All vendor spaces will be assigned in advance of the event.
Your business will be highlighted over the PA system by our MC, and volunteers will be stationed throughout the building to guide and direct shoppers to your vendor tables. This event will be well publicized and receive local media coverage. Live music and other events will add to the festive atmosphere. Record crowds attended our event last February 7, 2009, and again on December 12, 2009, in support of The Penns Valley HOPE Fund. Our goal is to once again break those records and to raise even more awareness and support for The HOPE Fund at our February 2010 event!
We do ask that each vendor donate at least one item for either our FREE shopper door prizes to be awarded hourly (or for our possible Chinese Auction or Raffle) to be held on 2/13/10.
Our vendors are encouraged to participate in the free drawings, along with the shoppers, that day.
Please note that unless otherwise arranged through Robin Bastress, OGS tables are reserved for the OGS Farmers Market Food Sellers and our OGS Food Vendors only.
YOU MUST BRING YOUR OWN VENDOR DISPLAY TABLE(S).
We will provide at least 2 chairs for each vendor.
Volunteers will be on hand to assist those vendors needing help carrying tables and display items into the building, if needed.
Vendor Set Up will take place the morning of February 13 from 8:00 AM - 10:00 AM.
Further information on vendor parking and the various entrances to the building will be provided in a future email. There are five different access doors for ease of entrance. Delicious food, beverages and other refreshments will be available for purchase throughout the day by The Penns Valley Area School District Cheerleaders Booster Club, as well as by our wonderful OGS Winter Farmers Market Food Sellers.
Complimentary coffee or tea and donuts will be provided to our vendors during set-up hours.
